He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Eugene Russell and Echo Mae Russell (Neth); his wife Alvena Carol Russell; and his brother Gail Russell. He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Lynn Johnson of Fort Scott, KS and Dr. Sharon Michelle Allen (Brett) of Fountain, CO.; his grandchildren, Brandon of Missoula, MT, Kellie of Fort Scott, Keriann Johnson of Fort Scott, Kylie Allen of Fountain, CO and Zaine Allen (Ash) of Colorado Springs, CO.; and his siblings, Jerry Russell of Fort Scott and Shirley Thompson of Kechi, KS.. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
