Wilmetta Burton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 13, 2025, at the age of 92, Wilmetta Burton of Fort Scott, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Wilmetta has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar William Cline and Daisy Jones Cline; and her husband Bill. She is survived by: her children, Mike Burton (Judy) of Ft. Scott and Debbie Coats (Kenneth) of Glenpool; and her brother Doug Cline of Cerritos, California.. She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Hospital and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, P.O. Box 347, Ft. Scott, KS 66701.
