She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Gardner and Lula Gardner (Nichols); her husband Kenneth R. Padgett (Kenny); and her siblings, Orel, Carrol Gardner (Red), Gevene Sutton and Grace Wegley.
She is survived by: her sons, Larry Padgett (Sonya) of Meade, Jeff Padgett (Marshan) of Meade and Mike Padgett of Abilene, Kansas; and her sister Ardith Hansen of Cunningham, Kansas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
The family would welcome memorials to the Vera Waters Art Center in care of the funeral home.
