He was predeceased by : his parents, Troy Barnes and Pearl Barnes (Fyfe); his wife Mary Ann Robertson; and his grandson Brandon Shay. He is survived by : his children, Mel Barnes (Mary) of Fredonia, KS and Lindy Schmidt (Steve) of Pearland, TX; his grandchildren, Stephanie Shay, Chris Barnes (Jennifer) and Brad Barnes (Christina); and his great grandchildren, Rylie Shay, Kiarra, Emerson, Kinzie, Karson, Stella and Kai Barnes.

Memorial contributions in honor of Bud can be made to the Fredonia Pound Pals or the First United Methodist Church of Fredonia, and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
