He was predeceased by: his parents, Huber Edson and Audine Edson (Hall); his daughter Jennie Edson; his stepmother Lola Edson; and his siblings, Arlene Edson, Claude and Eugene Edson (Eddy).
He is survived by: his wife Cassandra Lynn McIntire; his daughter Felicia Edson of Paxico, KS; and his friends, Daryl and Brenda Dedman of Gillette, WY.. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews.
