She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Waters, and Victoricia Waters, Sr. (Griffin); and her son Melvin Smith, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa Gaines of Galena, KS, Lacita Smith of Quapaw, OK and Catherine Smith of Galena, KS. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
