He was predeceased by : his parents, Tony Sander and Ann Sander (Goetz); and his brothers, Alvin Sander and Norman Sander. He is survived by : his wife Linda Stecklein of Hays; his children, John Sander (Susie), David Sander (Kristi), Kay Sander and Roxie Lambert (Tim); and his siblings, Charlene Rohr, Vernon Sander, Janie Legleiter and Carrie Billinger.

A funeral service was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Dominic Catholic Church (615 J C St, Garden City, KS 67846).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials given to St. Catherine Hospice in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. 7th St., Garden City, Kansas 67846.
