He was predeceased by : his parents, Lucio Hernandez and Timotea Hernandez; and his brother Dennis Hernandez. He is survived by : his children, Julius Hernandez of Liberal Ks, Nicholas Hernandez of Holcomb Ks and HevynLei Aichele-Hernandez of McPherson Ks.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home (508 N Main St, Lakin, KS 67860). A rosary was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (600 Soderberg St, Lakin, KS 67860). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
