He was predeceased by: his parents, Tanis Ortiz and Elody Ortiz (Herrera); and his siblings, Bertha, Fredrick and Rita.
He is survived by: his wife Francisca Ortiz; his children, Dr Andrea Sandoval (Todd), Emanuel Castillo (Maria), Enrique Castillo (Cindy), Devin Castillo (Deanna), Miguel Castillo (Abigail) and Gabriel Mendez (Guadalupe); his siblings, Joe, Andy, Marcus, Mary, Ted and Theresa Ortiz; his grandchildren, Idaly, Meeca, Mia, Damian, Fernando, Joaquin, Genesis, Elena, Julian, Alia, Gabriel and Rafael; and his great grandchildren, Miguelito and Ehlani. He is also survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests Memorials to Edith Scheuermann Elementary School to go towards unpaid lunches in care of Garnand Funeral, 412 N 7th Street, Garden City, KS. 67846.
