He was predeceased by: his parents, John Frank and Rosie M. Rupp (Brungardt). He is survived by: his wife Coleen Frances Whitehurst of Mary's Catholic Church; his siblings, Juanita Walck (Lyman), Larry Rupp (Jane), Arlene Rowley (Bob), Alan Rupp (Sherry), Ruth Ann Jackson, Johnny Rupp (Tammie) and Leroy Rupp (Lavita); his children, Robert Rupp, Jr., Sonya Roth (Steve) of Garden City, Rick Rupp (Veronica) of Hesston and Brian Rupp (Julie) of Holcomb, Kansas; his grandchildren, Alexandria Rupp, Audree Roth, Collin Rupp (Mikalena), Lindsee Dechant (Dylan), Calen Rupp, Braden Rupp, Anna Roth and Gracelyn Rupp; and his great grandchildren, Paislee Rupp, Landon Roth, Sawyer, Shepherd Rupp, Averie and Kashton Dechant.
