He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Alfred and Thelma Leona DeForest (Magee). He is survived by: his wife Janie; his children, Lisa DeForest and Chris DeForest (Cassandra); and his grandsons, Nathaniel and Grayson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Olathe Charitable Foundation for Olathe Hospice House.
