He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurence Edwin Burns and Priscilla Kendrick Benson Burns; his wife Shirley Zane Joslin; his daughter Pamela Anderson; and his siblings, Laurence Edwin Burns, Jr. and Priscilla Walsh.
He is survived by: his children, Michael L and Felicia Robin Smethers. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
