He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Joseph and Florence Josephine Hess (Kelley); and his sisters, Josephine Gregson and Geraldine Vogt. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Elizabeth Surman; his children, Kevin Hess (Kathy), Melissa Russell and Chris Hess (Keli); and his siblings, Eva Joan Ahne (Art), Patricia Stimler (Don) and Roger Hess (Carol). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Divine Mercy Catholic Church or Catholic Community Hospice.
