Carmen Powls Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carmen Powls of Garnett, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2025 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Carmen departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Carmen. Though Carmen may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roger Hofer and Marlys Hofer (Preheim); her husband Mark Powls; her close friend Carmen; her daughters, Bethany and April Powls; and her brothers, Lance (Jenn Hofer) and Father Roger (Joyce Hofer).
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the First Christian Church - Garnett (200 S Walnut St, Garnett, KS 66032).
Memorials in Carmen's Honor can be made to the Carmen Powls Memorial Fund and left in the care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
