He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Wilson and Cecil Bolin Wilson; his former life partner Maxine Miller; his spouse Murriell Yates; and his siblings, Burt and Dolly.

He is survived by : his children, Ron Wilson (Joy) and Janet Henley; and his grandchildren, Sheri, Christy, Brenna, Jeffrey, Dustin, Jason, Heather and Wendy. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.
