He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick John Pickert and Hilda Helen Pickert (Hermreck); and his siblings, Kenneth, Rosalie Waner, Elaine Kruse and Betty McArdle.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Janet Pickert; his children, Ron Pickert (Misty), Cindy Pickert, Lisa Adkinson (Bud), Denise Adkinson, Amy Pickert-Schooler (Rich), Stacey Pickert, Jason Pickert (Chasi), Stephanie Jumet (John) and Erica Burroughs (Ryan); and his brother Leon Pickert (Lynn). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, extended family and countless dear friends.
A rosary was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church (32292 NE Norton Rd, Garnett, KS 66032). Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery (32292 NE Norton Rd, Garnett, KS 66032).
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church and left in care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
