He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Penka and Emma Penka (Wendtlandt). He is survived by: his siblings, Bernard (Bette Penka), Hilda (Jim Suttles) and Dolores (Tom McAsey). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Prairie Paws Animal Shelter, Ottawa, Kansas and may be left in care of the funeral home.
