He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Enedelia Salazar, Sheldon Gedrose and Lonny Lee Ford; his uncles, Lonny Allen Ford and Christopher Michael Gedrose; his godmother Martha Salazar; and his grandmother Becky Hiles.

He is survived by: his parents, Roy Salazar and Rhonda Salazar (Ford) of Richmond; his siblings, Roy Salazar Jr. (Cheryl) of Garnett, Veronica Rice (Joey) of Lone Jack and Brynleigh Hiles of Garnett; his sons, Landon and Carson Salazar of Wakarusa, Kansas; Brianna of Garnett, Kansas. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.

Memorials are suggested to Steven's sons education fund or WINGS and can be left in the care of the funeral home.
