He was predeceased by: his son Gene Ray Dorris; his parents, Lawrence Milton Dorris and Alice Rae Dorris (Shaw); his siblings, Orma Jean Hawkins (Dorris), Wilton Dorris and Gerald Dorris; and his siblings-in-law, Don Hawkins, Joan Dorris, Jacque Dorris and Phyllis Dorris.
He is survived by: his wife Helen D. Ann Dorris Geneseo (Green); his brother Stanley; his daughter Janet Lynn Stream (Dorris); his granddaughters, Sara Lynette Ramirez (Runyon) and Jessica D. Ann; and his great grandchildren, Kai, Damion, Kalia, Makena, Alexandria and Alice Mae.
