We announce the death of Clyve Pope of Girard, Kansas, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 84. Clyve will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Clyve will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Clyve’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyve A. Pope and Jewell Pope (Longshore); his wife Helen Diane (North); his son Vernon Eugene Pope; and his siblings, Kathy Whisenhunt, Judith Ann and James Ray Pope.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth James Pope of Ottawa, KS, Ross Wally Pope of Layton, UT and Sarah Myers of Anderson, MO..
A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Brenner Mortuary (114 E 4th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762).
