We are sad to announce that on May 20, 2025, at the age of 86, Marjorie King of Girard, Kansas, born in Opolis, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Marjorie had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Marjorie may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles King; and her son Derek Ascanio. She is survived by: her sister Roberta Morrison of Wichita, Kansas; and also, Cindy Ascanio, Beth Wimber of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, John, Vicki King of Walnut, Kansas, Teresa and Bruce Deaner of Wichita, Kansas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Resthaven Mortuary (11800 US-54, Wichita, KS 67209). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM.
