We announce the death of Marsha Kay Horton of Girard, Kansas, who passed away on October 18, 2026, at the age of 80. Marsha will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Collins, Jr. and Elaine Joyce Camerer; her husband Gary Keith Horton; her daughter Joyce Horton; and her siblings, Vicki Gideon, G. D. Collins and Dale Collins.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Jergens (Brian) of San Antonio and Gary K. Horton of Girard; and her siblings, Joyce Conklin (Dale) of Wills Point and Ed Beeman (Kathy) of Lenexa, Kansas.. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Girard Cemetery (807 S Carbon St, Girard, KS 66743).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church, and these may be left at the service or the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 518 W St. John, Box 258, Girard, 66743.
