It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delmar C. Shoemaker of Glen Elder, Kansas, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shoemaker and Merle Dean Shoemaker. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Martin; his friends, James Reiter and Marilyn Huffman; his sister Judy Weber of Troy, KS; his children, Dennis (Glenda) and Julie Cole (Renesme); his grandchildren, Clint (Mallory), Connor (Stacy), Drew Dawson (Meghan), Tory Weeks and Rilee Taylor (Gavin); his great grandchildren, Colt, Emma, Bennett, Lucas, Grant, Jace, Kenslee, Jett, Lenox, Theo, Brynlee, Stella, Sterling and Grace; his parents-in-law, Sam and Frances Martin; his siblings, Harold, Opal and Virginia; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Glauser, Melvin Douglas, Bill Weber, Alfred Martin, Frank Martin and Neva Shoemaker. He is also survived by niece's nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation, Resident Care Center, or Solomon Valley Hospice.
