He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Halbgewachs and Lola Halbgewachs (Shultz) of Glen Elder, KS.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his brother Ronald Halbgewachs; his children, Jeffrey Halbgewachs (Kathy Meier), Tamara Long (Joe) and Jon Halbgewachs (Stacey); and his grandsons, Anthony, Braydon and JT.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ziegler Funeral Chapel (1901 N 14th Ave, Dodge City, KS 67801). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Church of God (1701 Central Ave, Dodge City, KS 67801). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Haviland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the First Church of God, Dodge City in care of Zeigler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
