He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Art" Hickel and Annie Hickel (Considine); and his former wife Betty Rauscher. He is survived by: his wife Karen Hickel; his daughters, Debra Hickel and Stacie Stange; his siblings, Patricia Blair and Michael Hickel; his grandchildren, Cheyenne, Bradley, Wesley, Scottie, Trenton, Keyanna, Izaac and Gracie; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Brinley, Thayn, Thax and Zayn.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home (1425 S Patton Rd, Great Bend, KS 67530).
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been designated to St. Joseph Catholic School Education Endowment Fund, First Southern Baptist Church or Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
