It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Arlene Wapelhorst (Great Bend, Kansas), who passed away on May 28, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Sell and Jessie Jensen (Woods); her stepfather Arno Jensen; her son Frank Joseph Wapelhorst; and her siblings, Robert Jensen, Gary Jensen, Rodney Jensen, Georgianna Jensen, Carole Malone, Janis Reed and Suzanne Gaschler.
She is survived by: her husband Daniel "Dan" Wapelhorst; her daughters, Kathy Wapelhorst (Doug Clark) of Great Bend, Paula Stocker (Mark Winholtz) of Great Bend and Nancy Sawyer of Great Bend; her grandchildren, Jeremy Bitter, Josh Bitter, Jason Bitter, Kaylee Keilman, Ryan Stocker, Sydni Zamarripa, Ally Paden and Madi Sawyer; and her brothers, Frank Sell of Hutchinson and Jim Jensen of Valley Center. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
