Margaret A. Zweifel Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret A. Zweifel of Great Bend, Kansas, who passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Francis and Nellie Francis (Roth); her husband Wayne C. Zweifel; her son Steven Wayne Zweifel; her sisters, Lillian Waugh and Janeice Hochman; and her granddaughter-in-law Abby Hinman.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Hinman (Greg) of Lewis, Sherry Pruter (Dale) of Great Bend, Shelly Post (Ron) of Great Bend, Kansas and Bradley Zweifel (Beth) of Waldo, Kansas.; her grandchildren, Jeannie Grimme (Casey), Jeff Hinman (Maggie), Jessica Hinman (Bryce Brown), Luke Pruter (Maggie), Audra Rostine (Eric), Holly Johnson (Eric), Megan McGuire (Ross), Alisha Livingston (Mathew) and C. J.; her great grandchildren, Connor Grimme (Madison), Claire Grimme, Kaiden, Kenzlie, Kooper Rostine, Sheridan, Clayton Johnson, Hudson, Hazel Hinman, Amelia, Kaladin McGuire, Wesley, Lily and Eliza Livingston; and her great great grandchild Oakleigh Grimme.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Luray Community Church. A burial was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM. After she retired, she accepted a part time position as a Loan Officer at Rapid Cash in Russell where she worked for over 12 years until she was 83 and retired again because of the COVID Pandemic.
A Memorial has been established with the Amherst Church.
