Marilyn Haynes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Haynes of Great Bend, Kansas, who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Smith and Pauline Smith; her sister Judy Ogle; her granddaughter Kaitlyn Dahl; and her nephews, Joe and Scott Ogle.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Heath (Dan) of Great Bend, Chuck Haynes Jr. (Dana) of Houston and Kelly Dahl of Overland Park, Kansas.. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home (1425 S Patton Rd, Great Bend, KS 67530). A prayer was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A vigil service was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (4100 Broadway Ave, Great Bend, KS 67530).
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Jerusalem Church, Prince of Peace Parish, Santa America or the Golden Belt Humane Society, in honor of Marilyn's generous spirit and enduring compassion.
