Nelva Dee Grimes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nelva Dee Grimes of Great Bend, Kansas, who passed away on May 16, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Castle Wallace and Ola Wallace (Keiswetter); her spouse Merlin Grimes; and her brother Don Wallace. She is survived by: her daughters, Kim Guesnier (Bernie) of Great Bend, Brenda White (Chuck) of Wichita and Jana Kaiser (Stan) of Kansas City; and her grandchildren, Abby Foster (Brandon), Emily Ledford (Cameron), Jacob Williamson (Amy), Lindsey Ralston (Robert), Kyle Kaiser (Erin), Courtney Pierson (Kyle), Brett Kaiser and Connor Kaiser (Kelcy). She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home (1425 S Patton Rd, Great Bend, KS 67530). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the First Christian Church (5230 Broadway Ave, Great Bend, KS 67530). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Great Bend Cemetery (4500 Broadway Ave, Great Bend, KS 67530).
Memorials have been designated to Golden Belt Community Foundation to benefit First Christian Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend, KS 67530.
