He is survived by: his children, Scott Achatz of Johnstown, Ohio and Kristi Oetken (John) of Great Bend; his grandchildren, Laci Oetken and Kaden Achatz; and his brothers, John Achatz (Bonnie) of Wichita, Charlie Achatz (Barb) of Raymore and Gerald Achatz (Glenna) of Great Bend, Kansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
