He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Skolaut and Gertrude Skolaut (Mauler); his brother Eugene "Gene" Skolaut; and his nephew Ethan Schmidt. He is survived by: his siblings, Joann Koriel (John) of Rush Center and Charles Skolaut (Mary) of Great Bend; his nieces, Elizabeth Schmidt of Eudora and Angela Harvey (Flynn) of Liberty, Missouri; his great-niece Brianna Schmidt; and his great-nephews, Connor Schmidt, Dylan Schmidt, Carson Harvey and Tucker Harvey.
