It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. Bussen in Greeley, Kansas, who passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Bussen and Dolores Bussen (Basgall); his brothers, Kenan and Baby Johnny; his sister-in-law Libby; and his great-niece Kaylee.

He is survived by: his siblings, Butch, Trina and Mark; his wife Penny Robben; his daughters, Missi Pletcher (Darren), Miki Waugh (Brian), Mindi Mader (Michael), Marci Bussen and Mandi Beard (Mitch); and his son-in-law Butch Bussen.

Memorial contributions may be made out to the Jim Bussen Memorial Fund and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735.
