He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Avelino and Guadalupe Palacio (Duran); his son Chad Palacio; and his siblings, Sandra Herrada, Art Palacio and Robert Palacio.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Palacio; his children, Angela (Shane Salazar), Shane Palacio, Cary (Katy Palacio) and Joseph (Michael Palacio Ortiz); his grandchildren, Hannah, Richard, Gabe, Lily, Kiera, Kaylee, Ricky, Gaige, Kristen, Jordan, Ian, Alex, Brayden, Cheyenne, Abby and Maddie; his siblings, Joe Palacio, Jr., Tony Palacio and Gloria Garcia; and his brother-in-law Tony Herrada. He is also survived by numerous other in-laws, nieces, nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the National Military Family Association in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
