It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Moore of Gridley, Kansas, born in Neosho Falls, Kansas, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Hansen and Violet Alta Gregersen (Gillespie); her husband Raymond; her granddaughter Erica Eccles; and her siblings, Gene Gregersen, Virginia Christy and Glen Gregersen.

She is survived by : her daughters, Terri Moore of Topeka, KS, Debbie Birk (Danny) of Gridley, KS, Kimberly Wheeler (Greg) of Paola, KS and Vonda Eccles (David) of Chanute, KS; her grandchildren, Derek Birk (Amy), Damon Birk (Gennifer), Dane Birk (Bri), Katie, Nick, Hunter Wheeler, Devin Eccles (Kelli), Kaci Eccles and Dustin Eccles (Chrissy); and her siblings-in-law, Maurine Wilkinson (Duane) and Daryl Moore (Luetta) of Gridley, KS. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home (801 Garrettson St, Burlington, KS 66839). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Gridley United Methodist Church (517 Atherly St, Gridley, KS 66852).

Memorial contributions may be made to Gifts for Gridley (a group that distributes Christmas baskets to the less-fortunate and elderly) or God's Storehouse in Burlington, and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
