He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Zerr and Barbara Zerr; his wife Kathleen Baalman; his in-laws, Ben and Frances E. Baalman; his brothers, Peter, Augustine and William; his sons, Leon and John; his siblings-in-law, Paul Dreiling, Mel Albers, Don Mense, Rodney Mense, Terry Baalman and Blanche Zerr; and his daughter-in-law Loyce.
He is survived by: his children, Sherri Kuhlman (Bob) of Oakley, Rocky of Oakley, Darrell (Diane) of Centennial, CO, Tom Zerr (Donna) of Kansas City, MO, Don (Anne) of Aurora, CO and Curtis of Park City, KS; his siblings, Alex Zerr (Norma), Betty Dreiling, Emma Albers, Frances Mense and Florence Mense; and his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Zerr, Louella Zerr and Angie Baalman.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St Paul's Catholic Church (12001 S Rd 130 W, Oakley, KS 67738). A vigil service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery- Grinnell (308 Monroe St, Grinnell, KS 67738).
