We announce the death of Joyce E. Smith in Halstead, Kansas, who passed away on November 1, 2026, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, W. R. Stone and Hazen Stone (Price); her husband Jack Smith; her daughters, Cynthia Smith and Jacky Deviney; her son-in-law Phil Wylie; and her siblings, Vera Compton, Glenda Fisher, Bill Stone, Doyle Stone, Jay Stone and Norman Stone.
She is survived by: her daughter Amy Wylie of Wellington; her sons-in-law, Brad Smith of Goddard and Chuck Deviney of Bethany, Oklahoma; and her siblings, Lynn Stone (Janice) of Sun City, Carolyn Rowland (David) of Pratt, KS and Shirley Wells (James) of Forsythe, Missouri. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church in Medicine Lodge.
