He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren W. Salmans and Anna Mildred Salmans (Hickman); his granddaughter Emily; his child Elodie; and his sister Barbara Rohr.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Kay Rima; his daughter Angie Charles (Rob); his grandchildren, Nikki Rash (Austin), Brady Charles (Shawna), April Irby (Leo), Jameela (Anthony), Adonis, Amani, Jordan, Nick Jacobs (Anne) and Holly Hagstrom (Blake); his son Mike Salmans (Kim); his grandchildren, Jarred Salmans (Sarah), Jayton Salmans (Lucy Mae) and Jacelyn Salmans (Andrew); his daughter Pam Ensminger; his grandchildren, Phillip Broz, Joe (Haley) and Broz; his son Steve Salmans (Dartyl); his grandchildren, Deanna Mosier (Matt), Jayson (Ashley), Baxter, Jessie (Josh), Stapleton, Sayge and Wyatte; his child Pat Salmans (Cindi); his grandchildren, Spencer (Summer) and Collin (Isabella); his children, Blaine Salmans (Alicia), Dillon Salmans (Serena), Ellington, Mercy, Eyla, Joshua, Khayri and Brandon Salmans (Cindy); and his siblings, Gary Salmans, Joyce Boor, Marge Kirby, Janine Clark (Jerry) and Arlyn Salmans (Sandy).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Beckwith Funeral Home (121 Bramley St, Jetmore, KS 67854). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hanston Elk Plaza/Hanston High School (203 N West St, Hanston, KS 67849).
In Lieu of flowers, memorial may be given to Hanston Fire Department, Trinity Manor or Hospice of the Prairie in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, KS 67854.
