He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Emelia Grimmett (Collyer) and Olen Grimmett; his brother Thomas "Tommy" Grimmett; and his sisters-in-law, Susan Grimmett and Marilyn Albright.
He is survived by: his wife Marcella; his children, Cynthia Olds (Kent) of Anthony, Dana Smith (Chris) of Harper and Michael Grimmett (Jillaine) of Augusta; his grandchildren, Kandace Hunt (Jay) of Andover, Kiley Davis (Brad Davis) of Anthony, Natalie Schmidt (Mike) of Girard, Meredith Olds of Pratt, Derek Smith (Whitny) of Inman, Bethany Smith (Nick Epp) of Hutchinson, Gretchen Grimmett of Emporia and Hannah Grimmett of Boston, MA; his great grandchildren, Jax, Silas Hunt, Asa, Joplynn, Blakely Davis, Fay, Nora Schmidt, Addie Smith and Adysson Urueta Ortiz; his siblings, Robert "Bob", Lyle (Janet), Richard, Gary, Ronnie (KJ), Nancy Hickman, Donna Bachura (Larry) and Carol Grimmett; and his brother-in-law Dennis Albright. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
Memorial contributions may be made payable to Stormont Vail Hospital of Topeka or Interim HealthCare Hospice and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
