Gary Misak Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 9, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Gary Misak of Harper, Kansas, born in Anthony, Kansas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrl Otto Misak and Patsy Violet Patterson (Shelton); and his daughter Traci Misak. He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Eileen Misak (Barker); his sons, Bret Misak (Jan) of Harper and John Shane Patterson (Pam) of Harper; his grandchildren, Cassidy, Luke, Daytona, Michael Misak, Tatum Henke, Josh (Adrienne), Brice, Trenton, Alyssa, Sarah (Hunter Arnold) and Annamay Patterson; his great grandchildren, Rylan, Wyatt and Bexley; and his siblings, Marilyn Warnock, Myrl Misak (Mary Lou), Ernie Misak (Kris) and Ruth Alder (Randy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Prairie Rose Funeral Homes (613 W 14th St, Harper, KS 67058). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church (1020 E 14th St, Harper, KS 67058). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Harper City Cemetery (121 NE 100 Rd, Harper, KS 67058).

Memorial contributions may be made payable to St. Jude Children's Hospital and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
