He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Howard and Selma Elizabeth Burkholder (Tatman); his siblings, Martha Jean and Dennis Carl; his brothers-in-law, John Myers, Bob Wohlschlegel and Richard L. McKee; and his parents-in-law, Bill and Pat Dautel.
He is survived by: his wife Lanie of Harper; his son Jonathan Burkholder (Alicia) of Danville; his grandsons, Mikhail, Brigham and Killian; his stepgranddaughter Emma; his siblings, Joan Wohlschlegel, Margaret Johnson (Arthur), Howard Burkholder (Eileen) of Hutchinson and Gilbert Burkholder (Kathy) of Harper; and his siblings-in-law, Toni McKee of Anthony and Todd Dautel of Lawrence.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church (1020 E 14th St, Harper, KS 67058). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:45 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Crystal Springs Mennonite Cemetery (488 NW 70 Rd, Harper, KS 67058).
Memorials contributions may be made payable to the Sid Burkholder Memorial Fund and can be sent in care of the funeral home. The memorial fund will be divided amongst local organizations that Sid would appreciate supporting.
