He was predeceased by: his parents, Fritz Koster and Lois Koster (Hatten); and his father-in-law Harold Schiltz (Edna). He is survived by: his wife Dee of Hays; his children, Dan Koster, Jr. (Anita) of Hays, Emily Cooper (Doug) of Overland Park and Tom Koster (Rachel) of Wichita; his grandchildren, Hannah, Michaela, Ben, Rose, Luke, Emry, Connor and Lauryn; and his siblings, Harold Koster (Bridget) of Hoxie, Nick Koster, III (Marita) of Denver, Kathy Kennedy (Don) of Oakley and Nancy Kiltz (Carl) of Lindsborg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for masses to be said for Dan or to Kansans for Life.
