He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Scotty" Philip IV and Jacqulyn Clowers Philip; and his brothers, Ian and Gordon. He is survived by: his son George Philip VI (Camille Meritan) of Manhattan; his sister Sheilah Philip (Bob Hartley) of Overland Park; his nephews, Alec Philip (Kristen) and Hudson Philip; and his great-nephew Evan Philip.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Hays Public Library, First Call for Help of Ellis County, or the Northwest Kansas Area Agency on Aging.
