She was predeceased by: her son Martin; her husband Darrell D. McGinnis of Joseph's Catholic Church; and her brother Terry Staab. She is survived by: her sister Nancy (Marvin Schmidtberger) of Pratt; her sister-in-law Betty Staab of Texas; her children, Erin (David Hughes) of Hays, Collin (Maria Cordoba) of Maize, Kansas, Sean (Stéphane Lescoules) of Paris, France and Patrick (Penny Moss) of Hays; her grandchildren, Marty Hughes, Megan Hughes (Devin Rohweder), Jeremy Hughes (Brittany Deeson), Jessica Hughes, Hannah Hughes (C. J. West), Anthony Barone, Shelby McGinnis (Michael Baggett), Sydney McGinnis, Emily McGinnis, Josh McGinnis (Brittney Craft), Aubrey McGinnis (Zachary Woolf) and Andrew McGinnis (Kati Burge); and her great grandchildren, John, Ada, Nora, Ally, Syrus, Evelyn, Lincoln, Liam, Logan and Leighton.
Viewing will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keithley Funeral Chapel (2509 Vine St, Hays, KS 67601). Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Brock's Chapel (2509 Vine St, Hays, KS 67601). A Mass will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (215 W 13th St, Hays, KS 67601).
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Darrell and Grace McGinnis Memorial Scholarship at Fort Hays State University in care of the funeral chapel.
