She was predeceased by: her parents, Clements Fisher and Pauline Fisher (Stubert); her husband Joseph W. "Joe" Pfeifer; her son-in-law Robert "Bob" Schaeffer; her grandson Jeremy Dietz; and her siblings, Alfred, Edwin, Wilfred, Clarence, Robert Fisher, Irene and Esther Bieker.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Pfeifer (Donnetta) of Hays, Troy Pfeifer (Dee) of Green River, WY and Jolene Schaeffer of Hays; her grandchildren, Joel Pfeifer (Ashley) of Olathe, Jordan Schaeffer (Sarah) of Hays, Jason Pfeifer (Renee) of Hays, Jill Mall (Tucker) of Hays, Danisha Olson (Jon) of Casper, WY and Michael Pfeifer (Monica) of Green River, WY; her great grandchildren, Jameson, Bryant Pfeifer, Noah, Tyler, Maci Schaeffer, Rylan, Jackson Pfeifer, Damien Pfeifer (Neveah), Harper Olson, Sperry, Tracer, Kimber and Grady Mall; her great great grandchild Boden; and her sisters-in-law, Freda Fisher of Ellis, Donna Fisher of Marysville and Joyce Pfeifer of Hays. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home (1906 Pine St, Hays, KS 67601). A rosary will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (1805 Vine St, Hays, KS 67601).
