We announce the death of Joan Stieben of Hays, Kansas, who passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 94. Joan will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Joan will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Joan’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Krug and Marie Krug (Wittman); and her husband Clyde William Stieben.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory-Brock's Chapel (2509 Vine St, Hays, KS 67601). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to ARC of the Central Plains or the Bazine Methodist Church.
