She was predeceased by: her parents, George Koerner and Angela Koerner (Staab); her husband Jerry M. Barton; her siblings, Arlen, Kenny, Melvin Koerner, Mary Lou Hamel, Rosalyn "Rosie" Koerner and Janet Batman; and her brother-in-law Roy Hustead.

She is survived by: her children, Theron Barton (Vicki) of Shawnee, Jerry Barton (Debbie Fabian) of Russell, JoLana Schumacher (Bruce) of Lakewood, CO and Melody Giebler (Mike) of Littleton, CO; her siblings, Jim Koerner (Arlis) of Hays, Danny Koerner (Diane) of Hays, Robert "Rocky" Koerner (Janet) of Hays, Carol Hustead of Hays, Judy Dreher (Don) of Hays, Marlene Dyke (Bob) of Miami, OK and Linda Hammerschmidt (George) of Victoria; her siblings-in-law, Ron Hamel of Plainville, Rodney Barton (Vera) of Long Beach, CA and Jean Koerner of Hays; her grandchildren, Christopher Giebler (Angelica), Lindsay Giebler (JT Mengel), Jodi, Jordan Elam, Peyton, Presley, Muunjiza and Tavia Barton; and her great grandchildren, Castiel and Catalina Giebler. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
