He was predeceased by: his brothers, Lowell Linn, Francis Rand Melkus and Donald; his sister-in-law Lena Fay Engle; and his great grandchild Jagger Dwight Welch.

He is survived by: his daughters, Connie Jo Wise (Gary) of Woodward, Oklahoma and Vicki D'Ann Johansen (Tom) of Hays, Kansas; his grandchildren, Jacey Wise Welch (Josh), Elise Johansen Harvey (Alex), Jared Wise (Carrie) and Kiley Johansen Barnett (Reid); his great grandchildren, Howdy, Jay Paul Welch, Lincoln, Aria, Salem, Abram, Asher, Rosemary Harvey, Bode Wise, Freya and Lucy Barnett; his sisters-in-law, Mary Melkus and Katy Melkus; and his former wife Glenna Melkus.

In lieu of flowers, Keith requested memorials to the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation in Alva, Oklahoma.
