He was predeceased by: his son Aaron Matthew Markley; his stepmother Vicki Markley; his aunts and uncles, Aaron Markley, Kelly Hamel, Kyle Hamel, Lisa Markley and Michelle Burlison; and his grandparents, Joyce Newell, Arnold "Buck", Nona Markley, Kenneth and Elizabeth "Betty" Weigel.
He is survived by: his parents, Rick Markley of Hoyt, Kansas and Kimberly Weigel; his stepfather Terry Weigel of Hays, Kansas; his children, Dr. Payton Markley, Keaton Markley and Merrek Markley; his brothers, Eric Markley (Danielle), Tyler Weigel (Erin) and Tanner Weigel (Abby); his nieces and nephews, Kamree Friend (Hayden), Scarlette Weigel, Shae Markley, Sage Markley, Hudson Weigel, Sterling Weigel, Shepard Weigel and Graham Weigel; his great-niece Fynlee Friend; his great-nephews, Damian Gager, Baker Friend and Jonah Friend; and his grandparents, Dennis and Kathy Hamel of Plainville, Kansas. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
