He is survived by: his sons, Melvin Benjamin Karst III (Joan) of Hays, Mark Karst (Nikki) of Kansas City, Jonathan Karst of Boulder, CO, Clayton Karst (Janae) of Kansas City and Dylan Karst (Katie) of Hays; his stepsons, Jason Ukele (Stephanie) of Salina and Corey Ukele (Brandy) of Salina; his grandchildren, Katrina Delimont, Kailey Delimont, Cooper Goodrow, Conner Ukele, Hendrix Karst, Ike Ukele, Nemia Zaid, Jaxon Karst, Cadence Karst, Colton Ukele, Lyric Karst, Adler Ukele, Charlotte McKinney, Rhett McKinney, Oliver McKinney, Hayden Karst, Montecina Karst and Maddux Karst; and his sisters, Sharon Befort (Karst) of Hays and Melly Karst of Austin, TX..
