It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Randall Schmidtberger of Hays, Kansas, who passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis C. Schmidtberger and Armella Schmidtberger (Sander); his brother Rayme Schmidtberger; and his siblings-in-law, John Hirsch, Denise Scott and Melissa Bradfield.
He is survived by: his wife Kate Monhollon (Hein); his sons, Gregg Monhollon (Stef) of Munjor, KS and Blake Schmidtberger (Meredith Green) of Hays, KS; his sister Mary Kay Hirsch of Plano, TX; his grandchildren, Kelsey Schoessow, Alec Monhollon, Kirstin Smith and Stella Green-Schmidtberger; and his stepgrandson Jack Hawkins. He is also survived by his nine great grandchildren, and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
